Tree swallows are so cool! They are so different from other birds but have such pretty coloration.

When I was 10, I was paralyzed from the waist down. This was when I started watching and paining birds. They enthralled me, and made me so excited. Birds became a very special interest of mine, and I started watercolors to capture them.

My family put the bird feeders in front of the window where I could see them. I started taking their pictures to begin paintings and drawing.

Tree swallows are never easy to capture on camera as they dart through the sky and to and from a feeder, so I ended up just studying them from a distance. 

Then I started painting them!
