Captivated

A year ago Feb 6, my Mom passed away at a pretty early age from harsh cancer.

She is now hidden with Christ Jesus, entirely in Heaven.

Something amazing happened to her, though, the few months before she passed. A dear friend of mine, a revivalist and apostle from India, truly introduced my Mom to Holy Spirit. I had known and been very close with this Man of God, doing ministry with him weekly, and he, also, became close with my Mom. He ministered to her in a way that totally changed her life, and although she was almost totally paralyzed from the cancer, she had perfect peace. Holy Spirit changed her and allowed her to live in the reality of Heaven even before she entered her eternal rest. When we truly allow Holy Spirit to move in us, Peace will be released to us.

Jesus said:

“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” He gives supernatural Peace to us.

During this same time period, I wrote a song that became my Mom’s ministry anthem as she lived those last few supernatural months in the Lord. It is called Captivated.

After she passed, Elevation worship produced this song with me and I recently released it in February in her honor.

Encountering God

my 2023 worship album

Over the past few years, I have lived out history with the Lord that has brought me through valleys of tears, seasons of pain, and times of great turbulence and trouble: and through it all, God is faithful. He has given me the victory over every power that has tried to hinder or stop me. No weapon formed against me has or will prosper, because I have my Jesus.

Every day I have lived with God, seeking Him in His Word and in prayer, I have grown deeper and deeper in love with Him as my friend and my Father. I have encountered Him as my ever present, all knowing, and recklessly loving best friend. All of these encounters with Him have been wrapped into the songs He has sang over me in the past few years, and these are the songs He has led me to put into my 2023 worship album, Encountering God.

I pray that you encounter Holy Spirit as you listen to a piece of my story with the Lord.
