I was a duck lover all of my life and would actually feed the wild ducks cracked corn from my hand at the lake. They knew to come to me every day of the week at a certain time and they would waddle up the land, ready for a snack.

So these ducks were special to me. They were a piece of my childhood. This particular set came from some photos I had taken with my iPhone. They were then transferred to paper with my heart and brush.

The lighting of the afternoon as it slid upon the pond’s smooth surface made the whole view all the more serene, and I just had to capture it.

These are two of my more water-oriented pieces, catching the lighting and shadows of the ducks on the water as it continued its calm current.
