My fascination with hummers started when I was paralyzed from the waist down at 10 years old. I would sit in my wheelchair, pray, look out the window, and study the art of the beautiful hummingbirds darting across the flowers bushes.

This original is one I have been thinking a lot about and have finally finished!! It took lots of detail and a unique idea, but I love how it turned out. Hummingbirds are quite territorial birds and can be caught “sword fighting” when they seek to defend their turf.
