I don’t do many kingfishers, but, they are actually one of my favorite birds. 

You know what, I’ll list out my favorites just for the record:

#1 bluebirds 

#2 kingfishers 

#3 hummingbirds 

# 4 tree swallows

# 5 parrots

In fact, one day I really really want to get a parrot.

Anyways, needless to say, I do love kingfishers. This one was especially detailed, with a thing called “negative painting” used on its head feathers. Did you notice the fish hanging from his claws?

This kingfisher’s graceful landing, caught in elegant watercolors is a perfect addition to any home.
