This Gold finch is another of my personally favorite pieces.
When I was 10, I was paralyzed from the waist down. This was when I started watching and paining birds. They enthralled me, and made me so excited. Birds became a very special interest of mine, and I started watercolors to capture them.
My family put the bird feeders in front of the window where I could see them. I started taking their pictures to begin paintings and drawing.
This painting came straight from a picture I took of one of our birds while I was recovering from this illness. Maybe it can become part of your story as well… even though I am hesitant to see it go.
But just as I recovered from my illness and flew away, this bird needs to fly away to a beautiful home one day. Maybe it is meant for you? …
